Alex was an amazing person, bright, witty, kind and thoughtful. We had many fascinating conversations with Alex on a wide range of topics. He was intellectual and intelligent but when he spoke, it was with humility. One of my fondest memories is Alex running around the yard with our children four years ago when he visited us.
