I met Mr. Johnson at Rex a little while ago since I volunteer there a few hours a week. I enjoyed our brief conversations and am reassured to know that he is getting his just reward in Heaven. Bless your family during this time of loss. I will miss him, too.

I always walked away a little smarter after participating in those late night conversations.
Al always welcomed anyone to join in the discussions.

The JARS repeater will go silent on Saturday to honor Al and his legacy in the JARS club. We all remember those late night round tables on the two-seven where we tried to resolve the worlds problems (sadly they never listen). Those were lively conversations! I also enjoyed those meetings with TriLUG meetings as well. 73 and SK Al.

Al I will forever be grateful to you for providing me the resource to pass 20 wpm cw and most importantly being a friend.
Your name is on our UHF repeater antenna that is mounted at the 1,200 foot level in Apex, N.C. along with the names of Matt, Alex, Chris, Tony and Myself. You are a part of our heritage and I know I speak for Matt, Alex, Chris, and Tony when I say we miss you Al and thanks for the fond memories.
God Bless you and your family.
