Not sure what to say?

I am so blessed to have met Alice Bingert. My wife and I moved into Washington Township about 16 years ago. I first met Alice during a Cub-Scout fundraiser. My oldest son was selling Christmas wreaths. Alice was always very cheerful and willing to help support the local cub-scout pack. I remember the one year we stopped by her house to deliver the Christmas wreath and she could not find a wreath hook. I told her not to worry about it, quickly went back to my house to grab a spare hook,...

We first met Alice, when she worked the tiny library on Washington Av. when we moved to the borough. She was such a warm, friendly and lovely ambassador to Washington! As our sons grew, she went out of her way to encourage them with book gifts! Later we moved nearby( & another library), we often would see her at the care center, when our church youth would visit. She was ALWAYS so cheerful and it was a blessing to be in her presence! The last week of her life, I met her again when visiting...

We don't know each other, but, my late father, Eugene Sakos was a 1945 graduate of Bernards High, also. He passed in 1982. I'm sure they knew each other back then, and, from the happy stories of growing up in that area, I'm sure they are happy to be seeing each other and catching up. She sounded like a real nice person. May she rest in peace.--Christopher V. Sakos
