Alice was an awesome, beautiful person. I got the privilege of going to WVU with her .... at least my first year. She was so smart, funny, and had a glow about her. I can't believe she is gone. Take care Alice. I will be seeing you.


Dear Burton family,I was very saddened to hear of Alice's passing. I went to high school with her. We were the same year and were on the flag corps together. I have wonderful memories of Alice. She was a very special human being and I was lucky to have known her. I found out today and my mother and myself are completely overwhelmed. I am so sorry to Alice's parents. My mother went to church with Mrs Burton when she came to Boston. I have so many memories. Professor Burton we are forever lost for words. I met you in 2010 in our summer programming. You prepared our youth for college. You loved them and not judged them. You were amazing and you made our children believe that anything is possible.

I am always saddened by the death of a good person. It is hard to believe that you are not here. I feel honored to have known you in life. You are an exceptional piano teacher for my son. We feel very fortunate to have such talented teacher. Thank you from our bottom of hearts. When I look at the piano and I will think of you, a smart and kind-heart person. Although you are away physically, you're always on my mind, forever in our hearts.
