Holy Cross Cemetery and Mortuary - Culver City Obituary

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow your love.

Where there is injury, pardon.

Where there is discord, union.

Where there is doubt, faith.

Where there is despair, hope.

Where there is darkness, light.

Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not

so much seek to be consoled as to console;

to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Not sure what to say?

I am very moved by the video remembrance of Alice. I never met Alice (although I share her name). Here is the meaning of the name "Alice". I know it to be the true meaning because it is on my coffee mug and coffee mugs, unlike social media, do not lie:

ALICE, Meaning Truthful
"You don't hesitate
Out of worry or fear
To speak the plain truth
Into another's ear.
Whenever you speak,
You are concise and clear;
The words that you...

Miss Alice was a prayer warrior who brought so much to Deacon Jerome and I in the few years that we were able to know her at Santa Clara church in Oxnard. She taught me about an unwavering faith and how we can all draw closer to God through prayer. Her life was fascinating and I am grateful for the time she gave us and the many stories she shared about her life all over the country and her family. I have so many memories of visiting with her in her home, driving with her in her Cadillac...

We've known Alice for many many years. She started out as a customer at our frame store in Port Hueneme, but became a dear friend. Every time she and Carol would be in the shopping center, she would make sure to stop in and visit. We loved her stories and the sisterly bantering back and forth with Carol. They both kept us laughing. She was a strong, opinionated lady but with a gentle loving soul!
The angels in heaven now have the benefit of the the two of them, united once again. I can...

Alice was an amazing lady, who shared Jesus! We met Alice in Nevada. She was a good friend and neighbor to my brother. From that time on, for more than 25 years, with have been in contact through letters and pictures. Alices cards would always come in perfect timing, when we needed them. We are sure she was promoted and followed our Lord to send a sweet message that reminded us Jesus is with us and holds our lives completely! Alices cards and notes were written in the most beautiful...

Alice was a wonderful friend,we worked together at Luckys in Las Vegas but kept in touch over the years,will miss her beautiful cards and letters, Rest In Peace dear friend,

The best person I ever knew ALWAYS kept me in her prayers, and always worried about me and my daughter,

It has been a pleasure knowing Aunt Alice. Although she was not my real Aunt, it felt like she could be, and she never seemed to mind that I called her that. I loved hearing the stories she told of her life and for her love of Jesus. Ill always remember her with great fondness, With Deepest Sympathy to All the Family,

I never met her in person but I corresponded with Alice for years. She was a good friend of my aunt, Marcie Wade, in Hollywood. I brought my aunt home to Kentucky in 1995 because she was ill. When my aunt could no longer write to Alice, Alice wrote to me. I loved Alice and will miss her love and faithfulness to God.
