I was so sad today to hear of Allan's passing. I worked with him at the Oregon Economic Development Department. He was a good mentor and a dear friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Sandi Bowers Cole

Allan was a dear friend and will miss talking with him - a sense of humor always even during stressful times. We were friends beginning at Grant High together even though he was a little older! My wife Elsie & I will miss him and Sally too.

Alan,Russ Ferguson, and I were very close friends at Grant High School in 1946 and 1947 and had many fun adventures together. My guess is that I am his oldest living friend (85 also). I,of course knew Sally as well. Here is to MU NU XI. Dick (Birk) Birkinshaw

I was deeply saddened to hear about Allan's death today. Allan and I worked together at the Oregon Economic Development Department and he became somewhat of a father figure to me. He was an incredibly special person who will be forever missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
