Not sure what to say?

With my husband and 2 teenagers, we decided to go on a big trip this year. When we left Calgary in September we had a really nice visit with Grandpa and Grandma.

Over all the years, Grandpa has been game to help me whenever I asked. He would help me fix my car, then we would cook something together for dinner, afterwards. He helped me cook the buffet I served at my wedding.

My husband enjoyed many fishing trips with Grandpa, some through the ice in Alberta and others...

He was my grandpa. He may not have been my grandfather by blood but he was my grandpa and always will be.

He taught me so much, like how to fish, how to cook and how to play crib and I will miss him everyday.

It was so hard to say goodbye to you. I was so very lucky to have you as my step-dad (My Pops) for 40 years and have so many wonderful memories. I will miss you so very much xx

Our deepest condolences to you and your family from Sweden.

We learnt about your loss by coincidence and could get an understanding of Almars life story by the beautiful photos youve shared.

May memories of his personality and deeds be alive in future generations.

Goran Edvinsson, on behalf of my father Alf Edvinsson, who is Almars cousin on his mother's side

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Almar, what a great man! Though there weren't many, I always enjoyed my visits with Almar. They were always fun, pleasant and insightful. He will always be the relative that I wish I got to know better and spent more time.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I will always remember your Dad as a real gentleman and being our substitute bus driver. May your memories give you comfort at this time. Sincerest sympathy. Vera Fedor
