Alston Branscomb

I was on another continent but was present in spirit, recalling lessons learned and experiences shared with my father in law over four decades. He set an example for us to follow in giving priority to the quest for eternal glory rather than trivial earthly pursuits of wealth and status.

Our church and community will never be the same without Alston. He was a man with a great heart and mind and loved everyone. I cannot be with you today but I am praying for this special family. Eugenia, you are still my little girl. I love you all.

Mr. Branscomb is much revered by everyone who knew him..He was truly a dedicated KIWANIAN and will be greatly missed.

Even though the world has lost a truly great man, and I now have to say goodbye to a very wonderful friend, there's no doubt in my mind that there is rejoicing in Heaven over the presence of their latest arrival. Thank you "Grand Dad" for your service to humanity and for the untiring inspiration you always provided to your wonderful family and to all your friends and acquaintances. Your lifetime of 98 years was filled with service to others, and it was always done with the attitude...

David and Natalie, I am so sorry about your loss. When Mr. Branscomb was in our office recently, he regaled us with jokes and witty stories. He was such a joy. Made everyone smile. What an awesome legacy he has left. I know you will miss him. Our prayers are with you all.

Some of my fondest memories of First United Methodist @ Sheffield were with Mr Branscomb. He would always greet you and shake your hand and remind you of God's love for you, My children were little when I came back in 1995 and they loved Mr. Branscomb. When he gave you a hug when he saw you, you could fell the love of God flowing through him into to you. He was a wonderful man who continued to show God's love to everyone he met from greeting them or calling them up on their birthday and...
