Altowese Dingle Eaddy, daughter of the late Solomon Dingle and the late Maria Sumter, was born July 12, 1937 in Florence, South Carolina. She departed her earthly life on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. “Wese,” as she was affectionately known, was a 1956 graduate of Wilson High School. She was employed by and retired from One Hour Martinizing Cleaners. At an early age, she joined St. Peter Holiness Church. Later, she joined Mt Sinai Holiness Church, where she was a faithful member. She was a Sunday School Teacher, trustee, usher and served in various other capacities. She was also recognized for 42 years of faithful service to Magdalene Chapter #63 Order of the Eastern Star. Lovingly married for 40 years to the late Deacon Leroy Eaddy, July was a special month for Altowese and Leroy as they celebrated their birthdays and wedding anniversary as a couple. "Wese" was a florist, seamstress and a cook. She loved her family very much and was a "Mother figure" to many who knew her. She is survived by her children: Pastor Terry (Delores) Dingle of Quinby, SC; Pastor John (Lynn) Dingle of Anderson, SC; and Carrie (Thomas) Robinson, Leroy Eaddy, Jr., Jeffery Brown, and Faith Eaddy, all of Florence, SC; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; two nieces, Pastor Joan (Edward) Deas); and Linda Millings; an adopted daughter, Evette Bradley; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
