Dear Mary de la Barre and family, I am so very sorry to learn just now of Andre's passing. He will always be a memorable person and someone for whom I have the fondest memories from our childhood days at Ecole Classique and times spent with our mutual friends in New Orleans, such as Rene Fransen and Eddie Bonin. I am shocked to hear that Andre is in Heaven now. But I know that he's there. For sure! With love to you, Mary, Helene M. Thian (Colleen's daughter)

In my lifetime, I have rarely met someone with such zeal and zest, passion and humor, sentiment and loyalty, for those friends and causes as Andre cherished. Godspeed to my friend from many years ago.

I was very saddened to learn that Andre passed away. We worked together several years ago when I was the meeting planner for my company's annual user conference. He was delightful to work with, and I loved talking NOLA history with him. I've met a gazillion people in my career, but Andre is one of the few that I will never forget.

I had the pleasure of working with Andre , on a very special wedding and was taken by his friendly demeanor and ultimate professionalism. I was very sad to learn of his passing. Ian Prosser , Botanica design studio Tampa.
