ARONSON--Dr. Andrew C., of New York City, died April 2, loving children and wife at his side. Dedicated psychoanalyst, psychiatrist, professor, and dang fine guitarist, he had faced rapidly advancing Parkinson's and aggressive Lewy Body disease.

This brings tears to my eyes. I´ve known Andy since he was a boy with his first guitar.

Dr.Aronson was instrumental in helping to save my life through his work with me at Mount Sinai. Struggling with a lifelong addiction to smoking, he was He helped me overcome a lifelong addiction to smoking. He was brilliant, non judgmental and insightful. I´m so sorry to read about his death

Andy was a truly special person. He was a colleague and friend over many years. Though we represented different institutions, we collaborated around the challenges of our clinical and administrative work. He was one of a kind. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing and extend my condolences to his family.

Dear Family, Dr. Aronson counseled my wife and I when we lost our son a number of years ago. He was absolutely wonderful in helping us through the trauma of the death of our loved one. We will forever be grateful for this. Our condenses to you on your loss.

Andy was a prince. He was a brilliant clinician, a screamingly funny raconteur, a dear friend, and a charming person to talk to, anytime, about anything whatsoever. He was a careful and empathic thinker, an inspiring teacher, a man who placed his highest value on being a present and loving parent and friend. This is a terrible loss for all of us who knew and loved him

My heartfelt condolences are extended to Dr. Aronson´s family. He was a beloved mentor and teacher when I worked under him at Mt. Sinai.I am saddened by his loss and will always remember him with great fondness and appreciation .

I am truly sorry (and shocked) to hear this. I was a patient of Dr. Aronson for many years and he was always the consummate professional, helping me through many crises with the utmost care. Words cannot adequately express my sorrow for his family - a tremendous loss to all for a life ended way too soon.
