Angel was born October 13, 1944, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Lucia and Santos Candelario. He was a fun-loving, free-spirited soul.  He didn’t have a problem telling you how it was.  Angel served two years in the United States Army, and during those years he served in the Vietnam War.  He retired after 45 years from Antenna Products.  Angel thought being retired was not for him, so he picked up a part-time job as the crosswalk guard at Lamar Elementary.

He was preceded in death by his father, Santos and mother, Lucia; and sister, Elly Andrade.

Angel is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Candelario; daughter, Maria Thomas and husband, Tito; son Angel Candelario and wife, Karmen; three grandchildren, Destyni Thomas, D’Marco and Gabby Candelario; brother-in-law, Jimmy Andrade; two nieces, Elizabeth Hollbrooks and Erica Sukhatskyi; two great-nieces, Erica Roche, and Adrianna Rousseau; and great-nephew, Jonah Washington; and two half-sisters, Carmen and Zaida Candelario.
