Dear Joe and Family, may the love of friends and family carry you through you grief.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your busband. What a beautifully written tribute about his life. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences,

Dearest Derrie,
I am so sorry for your loss, and from reading his obituary, a loss to so many who loved and respected him. He gave so much to so many! Joan told me so much about him, was very fond of him, and you meant the world to her! How proud you must be to have been married to such a wonderful man, humanitarian, and human being who contributed so much. Suzanne kept me in the loop, and I kept him, you and yours in my prayers. I know you are all relieved that he no longer...

How I will miss Angelo's spirited conversations ... his colorful way of describing people and places. Angelo always said that you were the love of his life ... Please accept the sympathy from our family to your family for this loss.

To the Perez Family - I'm so sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Perez. He was a great teacher and friend to me while at HCC and gave me great advice when I moved from Tampa to pursue a Ph.D. I enjoyed his teaching style: He obviously loved what he was teaching and was always happy to go deeper into the material. I will always keep him in my heart.

Will always remember Angelo as a friend and colleague at Jesuit. May he rest in peace.

Dr. Perez, My condolences on the loss of your husband; your best friend. My prayers are with you during this difficult time. I missed you when you retired from USF; you were my academic advisor. I appreciated your energetic spirit. I graduated in May 2012 and now have my first position as a librarian; I thank you for all the help and support you provided me while you were at USF. Your husband touched many lives, I'm sure...he will not be forgotten.

Joe, even tough it has been a long time, I am praying for you and family during this time. Dean Fagot
