DR. ANGELYN KONUGRES COUPOUNAS

Dear Dimitri, I was saddened to read of your mother´s passing. She certainly epitomized the phrase, " a life well lived!" A tribute to her humility...I was not aware of her many accomplishments as we watched our children as they played tennis matches at Longwood. I do remember her arriving speedily, clad in blood decorated lab coat. Always pleasant and so proud of you! May her memory be a blessing. Ann O´Hearn ( the elder)

I saw the obituary of Dr. Konugres in the Boston Globe and I remember her from Boston Lying -in Hospital where I was a nurse. I lost track of her when we moved to Brigham and Women's Hospital in the early 80's but remember her dedication to the profession as head of the lab at BLI. My deepest sympathy to all for the loss of a great woman, scientist and physician.
