To Ann's Family, I came to know Ann (via long distance) though our cousin Lucinda. Unfortunately, I connected with Lucinda after the passing of our other cousin. I became friends with Ann when I arrived in the States in 1980. She is the one who started my love for baseball. I know she will be with us as we keep on fighting for civil rights in the difficult years ahead of us. Rest in Pease my friend

Ann´s warmth, courage, kindness, generosity, and humor made her a cherished friend even after we no longer lived in the same city and Nats games were no longer a constant. She was a gem.
