CLINTON

Ann Marie (Hervieux) O’Malley, 100, died Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Oakdale Nursing Center, West Boylston. Her husband of 42 years, Raymond J. O’Malley, died in 1983.

She leaves a son, Richard J. O’Malley and his wife, Jean, of Leominster; a daughter, Donna Rockel, of Clinton; a sister, Lucille Reinhold, of Lawrence; four grandchildren: Jason and Sarah Rockel, and Heather and Bryan O’Malley; and four great-grandchildren: Ariel, Christopher, Abby, and Thomas. Five brothers, Raymond, Paul, Alfred, Jr., Robert, and Romeo Hervieux, and five sisters, Jeanette Roy, Marie Ange Hervieux, Cecile Roberts, Germaine Beaulieu, and Estelle Rousseau, predeceased her.

Ann was born and raised in Lowell, daughter of Alfred and Marie Anna (Brunelle) Hervieux. She attended local schools, and earned her LPN Degree from the former Holy Ghost Hospital School of Nursing, Cambridge, in 1938. In 1946, she and her husband, Raymond, made their home in Clinton.

For nearly 25 years, she worked as a Machine Operator at Ray-O-Vac, formerly of Clinton. She later worked for a time at Westboro State Hospital, and as a Home Health Aide.

A long-time member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish, and the Clinton Senior Citizens, Ann was an avid bowler, who enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods, and traveling, especially to Hawaii, the Carribean, and taking cruises. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friend are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. Not sure what to say?

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

Anne was a very nice person- she sat at the table with my mother for meals at Oakdale. She will be missed.

I remember Anne Marie and a very strong women that carried on after her beloved husband passed. She possessed humor and enjoyed a good laugh.
