Anna Mae Bailey, 89, of Canfield, passed away Tuesday morning May 21st, at the Hospice House in Poland, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 3rd, 1934 in Glen Campbell, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Goydich) Freno.

Anna was a 1952 graduate of Arcadia High School and married her late husband, Samuel B. Bailey, whom she met in high school, on July 9th, 1955. They spent close to 50 years together before his passing on April 6, 2005. Anna was a homemaker, spending her days caring for her children and creating memories with her family.

She was a member of St. Christine Roman Catholic Church in Youngstown.  She loved traveling, vacationing with family, puzzles, playing cards, going to the casino, but her biggest joy in the world was spending time with her family and hosting holiday dinners.

Anna leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children; Bernadette Benyak, of Austintown, Judy (Louis) Samuel, of Cincinnati, Rick Bailey, of Canfield, Rodney (Dawn) Bailey, of Lordstown, and Julie (Michael) McCue, of Allison Park, PA.  She also leaves behind her siblings; Jenny Zimnicki, Robert Freno, and Betty (Tom) Mattis; her beloved grandchildren; Elizabeth (Mark), Devin, Dilen (Gianna), Samantha Jo (Justin), Sean (Chelsie), Jordan, Baylee, and Jayden; and five great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents Anna was preceded in death by three sisters; Christine Kazanowski, Edna Fanco, and Dorothy Freno; and two brothers; John and Andrew Freno.

Family and friends may call from 5 - 8 PM Thursday, May 23rd at the Lane Funeral Home  Austintown Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 24th at St. Christine Roman Catholic Church, 3165 S Schenley Ave, Youngstown, OH 44511.

Anna will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to Hospice of The Valley Youngstown, in Anna’s memory.
