Anna Bea Cole, 81, of Princeton, died Friday, February 5, 2021 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born May 20, 1939 in Elgood, WV she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Nora Mathena. Before retirement Anna worked as an in-home caregiver for 30 years. Anna was a member of Fairview Christian Community Church in Princeton. She loved taking care of people and her patients. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and visiting her patients in nursing homes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Dove; son, Carl Mathena; sister, Billie Mathena; and brother, Dale Mathena. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Billy Lee Cole of Princeton; two sons, Billy Cole, Jr., and wife Becky of Princeton; and Robert Dove of Princeton; two daughters, Robin Bennett and husband Mark of Marion, VA, and Mary Thompson and husband Darrell of Princeton; and one sister, Mary Mathena of Tazewell, VA. A funeral service to celebrate Anna’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Reverend Larry Dyer and Pastor Blake Biven officiating. In keeping with Anna’s wishes she will be cremated following the service and interred at Mt. Horeb Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Wednesday.
