Not sure what to say?

Dear Susan and Family: Fond memories of Anna in KAMTA will always remain with us all. I go by the former residence often, and think of her every time I do. Music is a tie that binds forever! Sincerely!

It was merely by chance I came upon this sad news. Hopefully it brings you some joy and comfort to know I am today remembering Mrs. Horst with fondness and gratitude. Each time I pass the house on Parkview I still think of her and my piano lessons there. She was truly instrumental in my musical and personal development as she prepared me to successfully be accepted to Interlochen Arts Academy from which I graduated in 1978. Know she LIVES on in my heart and at my 'finger tips'. Heartfelt...

Dear Susan and Family,
I only knew your mother for a short while in KAMTA, but she was always very gracious and affable. I am truly sorry for your loss. May the Lord comfort your hearts during your time of grief.
Most sincerely,
Crista Simmons

Dear Susan and Eric,

Let Connie and I convey our deepest condolences to you and your families on the passing of your mother. Anna Mae was both talented and kindly. We fondly remember the hospitality and warmth she and Oscar showed us at the gatherings held at the family home on Parkview Avenue. May the memories of her console you during this time of grief.

Gary is here visiting me in St. Louis and we both send our condolences to Eric, Susan and family. We have such fond memories of times with your family throughout our childhood.

Anna Mae Horst was one of the most supportive colleagues I was so fortunate to have when I first started teaching at Kalamazoo College. She radiated a sincere, caring warmth to one and all, faculty and students. A treasure.

Eric & Susan,

Lowey & I send sincere condolences at the passing of Annamae. She was a wonderful person, a fine musician, a fabulous partner to Oscar, and an exemplary mother to you two! She took such good care of Oscar in those last difficult years. We miss both of them.
