I am so sorry to hear of Anne's passing. Though it has been years since I have lived in NC, I fondly reflect on my day's under Anne's compassionate and spiritual admonishment at Providence. She was truly one of the few souls always to "greet everyone with a hug" as we are admonished to do in the New Testament.

She was filled with words of encouragement and compassion, and relatable to a class of diverse women, from singles (never married) to widowers. Providence was truly...
