Not sure what to say?

Thank you Uncle Art for all you shared.

His wisdom, kindness, quietness, responsibility, caring, dry humor, and what seemed to be cut throat Scrabble and Monopoly moves that taught me patience, attention and action. Though the latter were just games, they reflected his approach to all I witnessed about him. He is an inspiration, role model, and guide that I can't thank enough.

Our Great Uncle Art

My great uncle Art, was a wonderful blessing to have in my life. I will never forget the time when, Art took me to my first World Series Game, which was the "Minnesota Twins", in 1987. It was so cool, because I got to see, "Heuy Lewis and the News", in the VIP box, from afar. I will always remember the memories he made in my life, so I can pass the stories on to my children, and so forth. He will be forever missed.

Deepest sympathies to the Blomquist family, and all those who loved and cared for Art. May God be a refuge and strength for you, a help that is readily found during difficult times. May the God of all comfort provide you with the peace and comfort you need to endure the days ahead.

Reflections on Uncle Art

Gentle soul…I don't think there is a person who reflects on Art without the thought that he was a “gentle soul”. It is very likely the most dominate reflection of those who knew him.

Devoted …I don't think there is a person who reflects on Art without thought that he was “devoted”. I can't recall a visit when he did not make himself readily available. While he had a career, it seemed as if he shared his devotion to family without effort. He...

While growing up, I was always told that Art was my "Great Unlce". I always saw him as my greatest uncle! I will always remember the laugh he had and how red his head would get while upside down on a roller-coaster. He was always happy and full of excitement. Art taught me how to appreciate Amercian History by giving me my first coin in my coin collection. I still have it along with many other coins collected in his honor. I will always remember how great Art really was. You will be...

Memorial Day 2010, Lowering the flag together.

Art was the most inspirational person in my life. As a child, he taught me
how to see things in a different light - use my imagination. When I was 5
years old Art took me fishing at a pond by the airport which instead of
fishing he explained how planes fly and that became my calling. It's
because of Art's care and ability to relate perfect answers to my questions
that I have been working in aerospace for 36 years. I always looked up to
Art and always will. His...
