Not sure what to say?

I worked for him. He was the kind of strength that all real Americans use with every step on earth every time we walk. My wife and I are old, thanks to people like him we to will walk in peace and health. Hope to see yall later.

To the Downs Family,

My heart was heavy when I learned of Arthur's death. My sister (Vivian Newsome) and I worked with Arthur at Hudson/McDermott for serveral years. We often times would speak of various individuals at Mcdermott and Arthur's name was sure to come up. He was such a kind and soft spoken person. Then I rejoiced and became exceedingly glad, for God had called one of his own home. The earth's loss is heaven gain. Heaven has truly gained an angel.
May God...

Dear Downs Family:
My condolences to you all. Although I do not recall if I worked on any projects with him, I certainly do remember him from my many McDermott days. He was a good man.

Arthur was a wonderful person. I worked with him at HEC for many years and it was always a pleasure to work on a project where he was involved because the job got done and without histrionics. My condolences go out to Juanita and all of his family, we were blessed to have known him.

My heartfelt condolences on your loss. I worked with Arthur for many years at Hudson/McDermott and admired him for his professionalism and his demeanor. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I had the honor of working with Arthur at Hudson/McDermott on several occasions.
He was a one of a kind individual. We could all learn a lot by the way Arthur treated his fellow workers in a business atmosphere.

We shared a common interest in photography and I enjoyed his input on the hobby.

My prayers are with the Downs family.

Juanita & Family,

Your friendship to our family has truly been a blessing. Arthur was a kind, loving, & gentle man. The friendship between our families will remain in our hearts forever. I vividly remember our summer vacations to Houston to visit you. I know one of Uncle Arthur's favorite stories to tell about me was the red/white striped pajamas I got one year for Christmas. He loved to joke with me about those pj's even into my adult years. You and your family...

Arthur was such a soft-spoken and wonderful gentleman who provided a very positive influence in the workplace. Undoubtedly, he will be missed in many ways by many people.

May God's peace be with the Downs family as they grieve the loss a great man.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
