Dear Arlene,

We just learned about the passing of one of the nicest and most generous persons we know. We got the bad news when The Plain Dealer called and wanted me to comment about Arthur and his work as the "Father of Lakeland Community College."

We will send a more personal note through the mail, but we wanted you to know as quickly as possible how saddened we are that Mr. Holden is gone. What a terrific legacy he left in NE Ohio, especially in Lake County and at Lakeland...
