I volunteered for Avis at Palmer Lake, starting in 1986. Later, I was a fellow-teacher at Grace Best. After we retired, we were in a book club together. Avis had resources for everything. Avis was truly an amazing person. Her accomplishments could fill an entire book. She was a warm and caring person, first and foremost. But what is more amazing is her impact on her family, students and LP community. Her support and guidance pushed everyone to do better and be better. She will be missed.
