Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Barbara's passing today, 8/31/2020. I went to high school with her, Kingston HS class of 1966 (later become part of Wyoming Valley West). I saw Barbara at our 50th high school reunion in 2016. I remember her as being kind and polite, very soft-spoken, and a good person.

We have lost a good friend.
She sat with us at Conference less than a week earlier--her usual reserved, but loving, smart, caring self.
We will miss our occasional dinners with great conversations!

It was a joy to know Rev. Barbara Housley. Anytime that we encountered each other at a pastors event she always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart. Her presences will be greatly missed and her work for the Lord will prayerfully gone on. May we meet again in heaven.

Barbara was a delight to know and to work with. Monroe County would not be the same without her - her leadership of the historical society and the senior housing efforts made a significant impact on tyhe area. She blessed us with her gentle spirit and deep faith. So sad for all of us at her loss.

I so appreciated Barbara's loving and gentle spirit. She mentored me through the process from Commissioning to Ordination. Recently, at Annual Conference, we spent some time sharing memories and catching up with one another. It always was such a joy to see Barbara.

I remember working with Barbara in camping and adult ministries through the Eastern PA Conference. I would see her at Conference and we would always greet each other. I'm sure she will be dearly missed by those closest to her. My condolences and I want you to know that I have fond memories.

Barbara was such an encouraging person. As my mentor, she guided me through the Candidacy process and did so faithfully -- that is another word that comes to mind when I think of her -- she was a faithful disciple and servant of Jesus Christ. I am thankful to our Lord to have known her and to have had such a stalwart pastoral example.

Barbara was such a vibrant person and such a pleasure to know and work with. I am sure that God will use her in service in His House of Many Rooms. May the Grace of God which you so abundantly gave to others always be with you my friend. I shall miss you and look forward to day that we meet each other again.

A fine Christian, humble and gentle with an unasuming smile; liked working with her. She had a strong sense of work ethics and responsibility with regard to the church's administration and overall ministry.
She will be missed. -Dr. Irving Cotto, North District Superintendent
