Barbara Ann Jenkins

I will always remember what a loving and kind woman Mrs. Jenkins was. She touched me as well as many others each in our own special way. Recently, my first son was born and I was honored to pass down "Goodnight Moon" and "The Velveteen Rabbit" that she had given me years ago. I treasured those books as well as many great memories. Mrs. Jenkins will be greatly missed. My love and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Mrs. Jenkins was my kindergarten in the early 80s at Edison Elementary School. She is reason and inspiration behind my perseverance to become an elementary school teacher, too. I am proud to say that I have taught at Edison, too, as a first grade teacher for seven years. Upon graduating from John Caroll University in '99, I called Mrs. Jenkins to thank her for motivating me at such a young age to choose such a rewarding profession.
