LORENZ, Barbara L. - of Flint, age 90, died Friday, April 10, 2020 at her residence.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Peace Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on March 20, 1930, the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle Rudland, and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life.
She married John Lorenz on October 13, 1956 and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1995. She was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church and VFW Post 822 Auxiliary.
She was an avid oil painter and crossword puzzle worker. She also enjoyed many arts and crafts.
Mrs. Lorenz was employed by General Motors SPO for 40 years, retiring in 1994.
Surviving are 2 children, Lori and husband Dan Pyeatt of Swartz Creek and David Lorenz of Flint;
2 granddaughters, Jackie and Roxanne Pyeatt;
4 great-grandchildren, Travis, Rylan, Mason and Emily;
brother, Donald and wife Marie Rudland;
several nieces and nephews;
many loving friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joan Anderson, in 1987.

Enjoyed working with her. She was one of my favorite 'DINKS'. I was lucky enough to be one of her friends that was the birthday recipient of her infamous bikini cake.

I always respect and like Barbara and your father. They was my children god parents and Barbara was cousin on my ex side . I remember the good times we had together and at church. Sending my sympathy and my prayers for your family
