Not sure what to say?

Barbara was a delight! I am so glad I got to know her! Others have commented on how she really cared about people and to me, that sums up her wonderful personality.
She knew life was not always giggles and fun, but she focused on the positives and encouraged others to do the same. Whenever I think of our times together (and they were not enough), I smile and know Barbara was a great model of a woman of that time and I will continue to hold her as an example of a life well lived. I'm...

I wrote a heart felt and long entry last week, I guess too long since it was never posted. Here I go again :) My mom was filled with love, compassion, generosity and forgiveness. She loved life and genuinely liked people. During her career, she didn't let obstacles get in her way, but found roads around them. She loved to travel and found a career that allowed her that opportunity both overseas and throughout the US. She was an avid reader, politically knowledgeable, loved playing bridge,...

Being around Aunt Barbara was one of my life's sweetest blessings! She was so happy to travel and keenly interested in the lives of those around her. And what is great and enviable about it is that - all that energy - loving interest, sweet concern and intelligent questions... all that contagious laughter, quick wit, and glee to be around people - She possessed all that and more when I met her, and she was already in her late 60's - and a great JOY to be near! Grandma Barbara leaves us with memories of kindness, warmth, wit, and grit. She played a vital role in raising 3 generations of family and we mourn for the loss of her in our lives. But we also remember the bested crossword puzzles, warm hugs, and loving touch she brought to lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Grandma, you will always be in my heart and mind. I love and miss you.

Although my acquaintance with Barbara was brief, I was saddened to hear of her passing. She was a strong, gracious and delightfully upbeat woman that I enjoyed spending my time with. When I re-entered the world of bridge in 2008, she welcomed me enthusiastically and made me her instant friend. I will miss her presence on this earth.
