Barbara Wilkinson

Barbara Felando Wilkinson passed on Tuesday January 12. She was born on October 17, 1927 to George and Rose Felando. A life long San Pedran she attended Cabrillo Ave. School, Dana Jr. High and graduated with the class of 1945 from San Pedro High School. She married Elmer E. Wilkinson II in June of 1948 and was predeceased by him in 1991. She is survived by her daughters Georgia Wilkinson and Barbara (B.J.) Zuliani, grandchildren Danielle, Philip (Crystal), Tracey and Reina Zuliani, great grandchildren Camille, Anthony, Cyrus, Vivian, Magnus, Sky and Star; and sister Dorothy Mezin. Barbara was employed by the US Postal Service for 38 years. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling with family and friends to Lake Tahoe, with the Catalina Moms, with the St. Anthony Seven and with the Gonzaga Girls. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday, January 19th in McNerney's Chapel at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 20th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10am with burial to follow at Green Hills Memorial park. My late husband Pete and I have wonderful memories of growing up and going to school with Barbara. My prayers are with her family at this time.

So sorry for your loss. My Mother and I were friends with your Mother while working at the Post Office. In fact, my Mother and Barbara were very close friends. I remember that Barbara called my Mother's home when she read about her death 6yrs ago, hoping someone would pick up the phone so she could share her condolences. I happened to be there when she called. It was very comforting to hear her voice at that time. Prayers for all of you during this difficult time.
