The Holmes Family 2018 - on their dock on Sebago Lake, Maine

Love you always Dad...

To the Holmes Family
Iam so glad I got to meet you, your dad, and husband was an awesome man even thru all he had to endure. Brenda you are a strong woman you and your family are forever in my mind. Whenever I think of you I will say alittle prayer, and think fondly of you all.❤

I believe that every soul traveling through this world is precious and unique. Some, however, just stand out above the rest.

For me, Barry Holmes was one of these extraordinary souls.

A man who fully embraced all that life had to offer. From his early adventures with Brenda around the world... through his career and building a family... and even through to his last days. Seemingly fearless. Always giving. Always present. Always genuinely interested in others' lives and...

Barry was a loving and welcoming person, always with a sparkle in his eye. He loved a good debate, loved great wine, and of course loved it when they both occurred at the same time! I can think of many adjectives to describe him, but the one that comes to mind quickest is GENEROUS. He was generous with himself, generous with his fortunes, and generous with his spirit. Whether it was sailing, discussing the political issues of the day, or recounting his many wild adventures, time spent with...

Farewell sweet Bear. You leave behind a trove of beautiful memories that will continue to lift up our hearts, as you did in life. We grieve your loss, but the presence of your spirit remains with us, and consoles us, letting us know that you are sailing amongst the brightest stars in the heavens, a broad smile on your face, those twinkles in your eyes, at rest far beyond the sunsets and those peaceful shores where we shall all be together again. With love and gratitude for the great gift...

"No Regrets" was my Dad's motto (He was known to many as "The Bear")
Words simply can not express how much I love this man ... he was and always will be my hero and his incredible spirit will certainly live on though all the people who loved him and the wonderful memories we made with him. I know he his drinking a great glass of Pinot Noir and sailing into the sunset up in heaven. ❤
