Not sure what to say?

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

I worked with Dr Lembersky the year before he began his oncology training. We were hospitalists at Harmarville Rehab Hospital. He told me about a 1959 visit to Pittsburgh by Russian Premier Nikita .Kruschev. I believe he met Kruschev at that time (Dr Lembersky was quite young). It's a humorous story that I found memorable. Wish I could speak with him more about this. I regret Dr Lembersky's passing.

I went to California High School with Barry and was a member of the advanced placement classes with him. He was super intelligent with a wicked sense of humor. I was not surprised to learn that he became an oncologist and a respected member of the medical community. Sincere condolences to his wife, children and extended family.

Dr. Lembersky took care of my sister for a number of years keeping her chronic breast cancer at bay. Last Fall when the tide turned, he took care of our family during the months leading to her death in November. As a nurse for more than 40 years I have never met a more brilliant doctor or a better human being. I was shocked to learn today of his passing. My heart goes out to his family and colleagues. He was a great man.

I brought my best friend my sister Julie to see Dr Lembersky for a second opinion for her metastatic breast cancer. I have worked with many oncologist and have never met a more sincere and compassionate person. He had never met us before but treated my sister like a person and not a disease. The kindness and sadness in his eyes as he told us there was nothing that could be done I will never forget.
I am so sorry for your loss as I know what you are feeling. Julie lost her fight on...

I said here with tears in my eyes, because I am just finding out today I just cannot believe my beloved oncologist Dr. Barry lembersky is gone I have an appointment scheduled for July 10th to see him, and and I were going to Rejoice at the good news that I made it through my five years under his care .He treated me with such respect and dignity always asking how was really doing he pushed for anything that I needed to get me through my ordeal .now that I'm coming up on my fifth year there's...

A man of all men. He saved so many lives including mine I actually looked forward to my visits which were frequent as he always seemed to sense those of us who might need closer following for many different reasons. He encouraged me to travel and we shared many travel suggestions. I'll never forget when he told me about this great little restaurant in Hilton head that had paper table clothes if I didn't mind but it became my favorite place for seafood he also insisted I visit this one...

I am forever grateful for Doctor Lembersky as I celebrate 11 years in remission from breast cancer. I will never forget how much compassion he showed me at 35 years old starting my journey to being well. He pushed me when I didn't even understand what was happening to my body. He educated me better than any physician and genuinely cared about me and my two daughters, always asking if we needed anything. God Bless you Doctor Lembersky and your family. I will miss you greatly. Thank you for...

As were many I was shocked to hear of Dr Lembersky's passing. I cried because I thought if this man could have made such an impact on my life I couldn't imagine how wonderful of a father and husband he must have been. I first met him 20 years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 33. Dr Barry and I had an instant connection as he made me feel that he understood how difficult it was to raise a young son and an infant daughter while going through cancer. He made me a...
