DEAR ANNE
I JUST RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT DR LEWIS PASSED AWAY. HE WAS AN EXCEPTIONAL DOCTOR AND PERSON. HE NEVER BELITTLED OR LECTURED HIS PATIENTS. I FIRST MET HIM AT WEST SUBURBAN HOSPITAL MANY YEARS AGO
AND THEN SAW HIM OUT AT ELMHURST.
I AM SURE HE IS UP IN HEAVEN NOW
TAKING CARE OF OTHERS NOW.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ALWAYS.

I've missed our conversations since he retired and regret that we didn't get that opportunity to make some musical noise together. One of my favorite stories was when he showed up at an open mic at the now defunct Chocolate Moon coffee...

Our deepest sympathies to Barry's family. He saved Judy's life in 1980 after a ruptured gall bladder. Jason wore a little blue sweater I knitted. We will always remember Dr. Lewis with the fondest of memories.

I was a pediatric patient of Dr.Lewis many, many years ago. I was shocked to read of his passing, and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

My deepest sympathy and prayers. May you feel the power of God's love to give you comfort and peace.

Our deepest sympathy to the Lewis family at this sad and difficult time. Barry was one of a kind, a very, very, very special doctor that gave of himself to help others. We have fond memories of Barry and he will be GREATLY missed.
