Bernard A. Grimard, 75, of Manchester, NH, died June 15, 2006, at Elliot Hospital, after a period of failing health.

Born in Manchester, NH July 5, 1930, he was the son of Albert and Marie (Bernard) Grimard. He was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mr. Grimard graduated fom Manchester High School Central.

During the Korean War, he served with the Untied States Navy.

Mr. Grimard was an automobile dealer and owned and operated Grim’s Auto Sales for more than thirty years.

He was a longtime communicant of Saint Hedwig Church.

Mr. Grimard was a avid Red Sox fan.

Family members include two sons, Thomas D. Grimard of Bayside, NY, and Michael B. Grimard of Manchester, three daughters, Mrs. James (Paula M.) Dickson of Bedford, NH, Mary V. Grimard of Manchester, and Mrs. Jan-Ives (Christine A.) Campbell of Burlington, VT; three grandchildren, his brother, Hervey Grimard of Clearwater, Florida, several nieces and nephews.

Services: There are no calling hours.

The funeral will be held Tuesday with a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10AM in Saint Hedwig Church, corner of Orange and Beech Streets, Manchester.

Burial will take place in Saint Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford, NH.

The Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester is in charge of the arrangements.

One of the best jobs I had in my life was working for “Spike” Bernie Grimard. Unlike most jobs, I knew each day would be fun. Our combined senses of humor inspired pranks and decidedly unadult-like behavior that would lead to someone being the brunt of a practical joke.
