I talked to Mr. Lansky on numerous trips to Memphis, when we stayed at the Peabody. He was the best salesman I ever met. He never mentioned Elvis in all the years I knew him. I finally saw an article on T.V. that interviewed him. I will miss our talks.

Eight years ago when I was 17, I walked into his store and was pleasantly surprised to see Mr. Lansky behind the counter. I asked him about Elvis and he was so willing to talk with me and tell me what Elvis was like. I'll never forget it
