Not sure what to say?

We lost a great person as well as a great official.
My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
He will be truly missed.

ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR TIME TOGETHER. WE WORKED MANY, MANY GAMES ON THE FLOOR REFFING GAMES TOGETHER AND SPENT SOME GREAT TIMES OFF AS WELL. TAKE REST MY FRIEND.

So sad to hear of Bernard's passing. We shared many basketball games with him as a ref for Amy, Austin, and Charles' games. We enjoyed sharing Sunday Bible study together, and meeting up as John Brown University parents. His smile and positive attitude were truly a blessing to many. He will be missed!

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Bernard. Bernard was a wonderful person and we cherish the memories of having Bernard as a student at Richardson Northwood Jr. High and I also enjoyed seeing Bernard in high school gyms where he excelled as a basketball official. Please know prayers are being lifted up for the entire Scott family.

First met Bernard when he ref'd our daughters basketball game when she was in fifth grade. We would enjoy seeing him and his personality as he ref'd her games all the way into college. He also always entertained our son, who had down syndrome and let him shoot basketballs at half time. He was been a good friend for many years and will be missed.

Bernard will be missed! He always spoke kindly to me, my wife, Carolyn, daughter, Cara, and son, Cain...regardless of the setting...whether on the basketball court as a referee at Cara and Cains bball games for 20 years or basketball instructor...or...at his work...or just about! I'll miss seeing him and chatting about his daughter, whom is was so proud! Now he's Home....free from burden of earthly living! He has found Peace...as he was welcomed at the Gates of Heaven by all his loved...
