Bernardine V. McBride, 83, of Waco, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Ridgecrest Retirement and Health Care. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Western Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Smith and Dr. Scott Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery....
Read MoreI am a resident at Ridgecrest. Bernadine was a dear friend to me. She was a very kind person and I will truly miss her. We had breakfast together and she would play the piano for me. I even got to meet her Grandaughter not long ago. My thoughts and prayers are with each family member. God bless all!

I have known Bernardine since 1971
A person who always put the Lord first in her life, she had beautiful hands that are now touching the face of God. Hands that had caught her falls in her youth and had let her fall in later life. Hands that had touched her family and were held out to all those in need, throughout her life. Hands that folded often in prayer , then reached out and grasped the hand that led her home.
Now that hand touches the face of the Lord. Prayers and much love...

Bernadine was a a beautiful person and wonderful friend to me. She and I played the piano and organ together for Marshall Ford Baptist church for sixteen years. She was a devoted Christian who loved her church. She loved to tell about her children and grandchildren with much admiration. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time. We loved her very much.
