Not sure what to say?

I will always treasure the special memories that Miss Betholena and I shared.

There was always a special aura that I felt when I was in Miss Betholena's presence.

Deepest sympathy to your family! Love and prayers!

Mrs. Kennedy was a very sweet lady, just classy. I always enjoyed hearing her talk. One could tell she was a librarian as it showed in how articulate she was. Our community will miss her truly. Derrick, my friend, I know you are missing your grandmother. My sincere condolences.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

As one of the children Mrs. Kennedy helped mold and raise through Nelson Chapel, I was blessed beyond measure. Even after I became an adult (before she moved to Texas) when I would come back to Shawnee she would be one of the first I would visit. We enjoyed long conversations and laughing together. She shared so much history of Shawnee with me. I truly loved her and will miss her dearly. My condolences and prayers to all of us who loved her.

To Delores and Family: Mother Kennedy as we all called her at Nelson Chapel Church, she was a inspiration to my family. I loved er like a mother. As my first child Rhonda was born and being young and not knowing what to do with a baby Mother Kennedy was a God sent she taught me so much through the years. I hated it when she had to move from Shawnee. Delores and family you gave her the utmost loving care. May God continue to bless each of you. I have such loving memories of Mother...
