I had the pleasure of meeting Betsy through her husband, Bob, a close colleague of mine in emergency management. My sister, Susan, and I joined them for dinner one evening and I could see their devotion. Betsy was so sweet to my sister, a Down Syndrome woman, that I never forgot her kindness. I grieve for Bob, but I pray that he and Betsy are both at peace.
