Betty Louise Tharp Fry, left this world and gained her angel wings on November 7, 2019 in McKinney, Tx.
She was born in Denton Tx, on May 25, 1942, she was the only child born to Archie and Carneilia Tharp.


Betty graduated from Denton High school in 1960 and attended North Texas State University, she traveled to Mexico to study Spanish. She graduated in 1964, with her Bachelor of Arts, Suma Cum Lade. She went on to teach high school Spanish at Mac Arthur high school in Irving Tx, for 4 years. She was well thought of and admired by many of her students. Over the years, Betty worked for Credit life Ins company, Boy Scouts of America and retired from Liberty Mutual in 2010. After retirement she volunteered at Sally B. Elliot in Irving for 2 years. Betty was active in church for over 40 years and her faith in the Lord was strong. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, and will truly be missed by all.


She is presided in death by both of her parents. Betty leaves behind, a son Robert Fry of Irving Tx, a daughter Shannon Judkins and husband Kevin of McKinney TX and and 3 grandchildren, Jonah Boyd, Holli Boyd and Morgan Fry.


Friends and family whose lives Betty touched, are invited to pay their last respects, at DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2025 W University Dr., Denton Tx, 76201


Visitation will be held Tuesday November 12, 2019 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors, with Jerry Fischer officiating, Wednesday November 13, 2019 at 11:00. Following with a graveside service at Little Elm Cemetery.

It is sad that Ms. Fry is no longer with us. She was one of the sweetest persons I knew. The lord has received a wonderful Angel. The family is in my thoughts and prayers. RIP
