Betty Jean MaxeyBetty Jean Maxey, 73, of Scottsville, died on Friday, November 16, 2012, at her home. She was born on November 25, 1938, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Paul Alexander and Mabel (Graves) Adcock.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Franklin Adcock. Mrs. Maxey loved her family, loved flowers and was co-owner of Glenmore Grocery. Survivors include her life companion, H. Keith Hall Sr.; her children, Elizabeth D. Watson of Dinwiddie, Debra S. Gupton and her husband, Frankie, of Dinwiddie, John W. Maxey Sr. and his wife, Vickie, of Powhatan, and Jerry A. Maxey and his wife, Connie, of Henrico; a brother, Charles M. Adcock of Scottsville; Keith's children, H. Keith Hall Jr., Harvey Lee Hall and his wife, Cindy, Deborah S. Hansen and Mary C. Dobie; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Glenmore United Methodist Church Cemetery.
