Betty Raitter, 72, of Dallas, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore on Sunday, March 5, 2017.
Betty was born Dec. 7, 1944, to the late William and Agnes Forney Raitter at home on Dexter Street in Nanticoke.
She was a longtime employee of and retired from Offset Paperback and a was proud member of the American Legion, both in Dallas.
Betty loved spending time at Ricketts Glen State Park, exploring the waterfalls.
Surviving are her daughters, Angel (Jack) Bestwick and Laura Pish; sons, Edmund Pish and Jason Pish; grandson, Bryon Williams; granddaughters, Cara (Keegan) Frank, Kayla Kaufmann and Hannah (Matthew) Dziak; great-grandson, Henry Frank; sisters, Peggy, Mary Lou, Jean and Alice; and brother, John.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Chuck Dobash; brothers, Bill, Walt, Joe, Ed, Franny and Robert; and sisters, Wanda, Anna and Rita.
A memorial service will be held from 9 a.m. to noon March 18 at American Legion Post 672, 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's honor to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Suite 7, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
