I have such fond memories of Betty from our time together when she was a member of the Neighborhood Music School Board of Directors. Betty's thoughtfulness, calm demeanor, and enthusiasm for the NMS mission was a valuable asset to the board, the institution and to me as the executive director. My condolences to the family.

I feel so fortunate to have benefited from Betty's wisdom and guidance during my career at Yale. Her legendary toughness never got in the way of her genuine compassion for faculty and students alike. She called 'em like she saw 'em. And that was great! My most sincere condolences to Betty's family.
