Not sure what to say?

Bettye was a perfect lady as well as kind and caring towards all who knew her. We were so blessed to live next door to her and husband, John for many years. When we first moved to Nashville from Atlanta, she took us under her wing and made us feel welcome. She was so kind especially to our daughter, Catherine, who was only 5 at the time - a new student at St. George's. She and her family will always be special in our hearts.

With Love and Blessings to All

I will never forget Bettye's kind words to me about my children and her help setting them on the right path. She was a wonderful leader and an exemplary educator. My thoughts and prayers to her family on their loss.

Count me as one of those HH girls influenced to pursue a math degree and go on to teach math in such a way that my students would feel the way Mrs. Abernathy made me feel in 8th grade Algebra.....confident and capable of anything. Sending my deepest condolences.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I have the fondest memories of Mrs. Abernathy from St. Georges Kindergarten and summer camp.

What a beautiful tribute to your Mother's life. She was a remarkable woman. We are so sorry for your loss,
and send our love and sympathy to you and your family.
Love, Jo Nelle and Jim Kepper
