Beverly Jean Golden

Beverly Jean Golden, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away suddenly on November 4th in her Torrance home, at the age of 87. Beverly was a talented award winning artist, writer and singer, although her greatest gifts were her kindness and a wonderful sense of humor. There are no words to express the impact of Beverly's beautiful spirit on those who knew her. Born Beverly Jean Bevard in Santa Cruz, California, in 1927, she graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in 1945. In 1947, Beverly married Jack Linsky and they had three children together. In 1966, Beverly married the love of her life, Richard "Skip" Golden, and became the "Super Mom" of their blended family of seven children. As the years passed and the kids had kids of their own, Beverly remained a constant source of love and support - and inspiration! Well into her 80's, Beverly was writing, painting, attending water aerobics and singing with the Swinging Seniors, all while maintaining her title as the undisputed family Ping Pong Champion. Beverly is survived by her husband, Skip; her seven children, Steve, Dinah, Jeff, Jerry, Tom, Richard Jr. and Linda; 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
