Just two months to the day following his wife's passing Bill went on to join her in their eternal home with the Lord Tuesday evening, September 16, 2014 at his residence outside of Quincy, CA. Born in Oakland, CA on June 2, 1946 to the late Cecil and Mildred (Ryans) Alexander, Bill was raised in Angels Camp, CA and later Santa Cruz, CA where he graduated from high school. After his graduation and a little white lie about his age he entered the military serving his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Navy as a cryptographic machine operator helping to spy on the North Vietnamese early on during the Viet Nam War. Upon his discharge he went to work at the Oakland Army Depot and it is while working here he met the love of his life and best friend a beautiful La Nell Isakson. The couple was later united in matrimony in Carson City, Nevada on April 24, 1970 and to this loving union two sons were born. The newly weds returned to the San Francisco East Bay but shortly thereafter moved to Carson City, Nevada where Bill began his career as a Deputy Sheriff. He later moved his family to Elko, Nevada where he continued to work in Law enforcement. Bill soon thereafter took a career with Pacific Gas and Electric and in 1992 the family moved fro Cobb Mountain, CA to Quincy. Bill had a passion of electronics and was an avid Ham Radio operator. He and his wife were instrumental in maintaining communications during numerous natural disasters as well as being an integral part of Cal Fires Communications System. He could be found also along side his late wife helping to run local Red Cross and Salvation Army Evacuation Centers. Bill was always there to lend a hand to those in need. He had just recently begun attending services at the Meadow Valley Community Church. In passing Bill leaves his sons; Blaine Cecil Alexander and his wife Stephany and Chad I.
