Not sure what to say?

I just found out the news moments ago on a passing glance at TheTartan. I knew Blake from The Tartan and Whim but admittedly didn't know him well. I do know this, he was a decent guy who said exactly what he meant.

I clicked on his Blogger profile soon after. Under "About Me" he (or someone since) wrote: Blake Fought the good fight.

I would say that is pretty fitting.

Blake truly should have no regrets in this world. Blake truly was the best Christian I knew. We never talked that much, but when we did, you could tell he was someone who was unique. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone, even when Whim circus was going on. He truly is in a better place and deserves to be there

Happier times. Blake's High School Graduation 2005

Happy Birthday to my wonderful son, Blake Edward Fought. I love you more than words can ever say. I miss you more than words can ever say. I look forward to the day when we can all be together again. Until that time, know that we all love you.
Love Mom

My Wonderful Son:
Today would have been your 20th birthday. While your family and I continue to miss you so very, very much and while we grieve your loss, we are comforted in knowing that you are with the Lord our God that you served so devotely and masterfully in your all too brief time with us.
One of the greatest gifts God ever gave me, your Mother and your sister was you. Sometimes, God asks parents and siblings to give that wonderful gift back to Him. How reassuring it...

Dear Amy,
I am devastated to hear of Blake's death. How could I ever forget Blake? And Kaitlyn, you, and Marc for that matter? You could tell even at a very young age that he was a special boy! And after reading everything, quite a special young man. He was scary clever, but never made you feel stupid. I'll never forget his smile- always present. And I'll never forget his devotion to his beloved little sister... that really touched me.
I understand your feelings about your career....

I remember having a class with Blake, AP European History. It was two years ago, in my sophomore year of high school. What impressed me so much about Blake was how much energy and passion he brought to the classroom, really showing everyone what it meant to care about the direction of our world and the people in it. I never really knew him, but I knew his commitment to all of us, and it's a shock that he passed.

"I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me on that day." 2 Timothy 4:7

My happy Blake
