Brenda was my cousin. We grew up close enough to each other to visit and play together. I remember playing kickball in the street at my house with my three siblings and Brenda and some neighborhood friends. I remember being together for holidays and when my parents visited. we always had fun together and I never remember an argument with my cousin Brenda. we were all able to re-connect within the last few years. I am grateful to have my memories and pray that Brenda will rest in peace. so...

The Twilight Years

As I approach my twilight years, I am struck by the inevitability that the party must end. And one clear, cold morning after I 'm gone, my loved ones will awaken and be struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "any more." No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."
