To lose Brian so young when his life held so much promise is an agony. I know you are inconsolable but please know that you are in the hearts and prayers of many friends (no less than twelve of whom emailed me in London to tell me of Brian's terrible accident).

Words don't convey my deep sadness - it still doesn't seem real. Watching Brian grow up from across the street, hearing him howl when I walked into your motion-activated sprinklers (for the deer he told me), and hearing some of his teenage nights outside on the island separating our houses - it seems impossible.
