Not sure what to say?

We are still in shock and waiting to learn more. A good friend, colleague and great physician

Very sorry to hear of Brooks passing. I was honored to be with him for many years at the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic where he served the medically indigent with compassion and grace.

Frank W. Bowen MD

liz, so sorry to hear of your loss. brooks was a real gentleman and a delight to know.

It was a great pleasure working with Dr. Poley. My sincere condolences to the Poley family.

I loved working with Dr. Poley. He was always so kind and respectful and he loved his patients. I worked with him in the operating room and he was not only talented clinically but also surgically. I'm sure there are many patients of his that are also sad to lose him. Dr. Poley touched so many lives. So bright, so interesting, loved his work. What a professional career he had, you must be very proud. What a special gift to help people to see.

I offer my most sincere sympathy to the family. Brooks helped guide me through the transition to phaco many years ago with great skill. He was a true mentor and friend.

I was just thinking of Brooks yesterday when a colleague let me know he had passed. Brooks was a gentleman, a colleague, and a friend. We worked together years ago when he lived in South Carolina, and later collaborated on some research on the effect of cataract surgery on glaucoma. Brooks had a creative mind and was awarded many patents for innovations in ophthalmology. My heart goes out to Liz and his family: you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kate and Steve,

So sorry to hear of your father's passing. I remember him to be a true gentleman with a great amount of intelligence and wit. He was always gracious to me. I know he will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.
Please give your mom a hug for me.

Brooks was always a delight to know and see at the meetings. He continued to have an intelligent curiosity in ophtahlmology and looked at ways to contribute. He will be missed in the ophthalmology community.
