Born September 21, 1955, in Dubuque, Iowa, Skip passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on September 26, 2025, at the age of 70 due to illness, with his daughter by his side.
Skip, as everyone calls him, moved to Louisiana as a "Yankee transplant" in the early 1980s, living many years in the Paulina area. He worked in supervisory roles in the petroleum and industrial settings. Skip was also an avid "Fisherman" and loved taking his kayak out at any chance he got.
Skip is survived by his mother, Nancy Jaeger; his children, Coni Temple (Jay), Dawn Niles, Justin Nank (Sara), and Johnathon Palmisano; his grandchildren, Natasha Rheams (John), Ashton Villar (Courtney), Kristin Villar (Dannon), Kailye Temple (Wesley), Javon Mallory (Lexi), Nolan Nank, and Gage Nank; his great grandchildren, John Jr., Aliyah, Hunter, Sophia, Silas, and Paisley; his siblings, Rick Nank (Marcia), Edward Jaeger (Christina), Crystal Schexnayder (Bryan); sister in law, Valorie Nank (Val); as well many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Skip is preceded in death by his father, Edward Jaeger; his grandparents, Leona and Clifford Schuster; Violet and Joseph Jaeger; and his brother, Randy Nank.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that you consider donating to the American Stroke Association or Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge, where Skip spent his final days being taken care of by an amazing staff.
The family will hold services and a burial to be announced at a later date.
